Passion de Cristo - Jan 30th 2007

A canvas I painted for a competition in 2007. It originally had no title but my instructor (who really didn't teach me anything I didn't already know) suggested the title above, because it reminded him of the movie "The Passion Of Christ".

Note, the painting wasn't based on it. The competition simply stated to paint something based on Christ's life and what it meant. I chose his crucifixion.

I went on my imagination, and used no reference picture when I painted this. My jealous instructor almost ruined it trying to fix it to his vision instead of mine. I walked in and called him a MF and took it home to finish. He's lucky I didn't do worse for meddling with my art piece.

In any case, many enjoyed my painting, even though it wasn't exactly how I first envisioned it, (no thanks to someone...). I may not have won the competition, but its recognition was more than enough to make me feel acknowledged. I enjoyed painting this and now keep it safe in my room.

I don't know why I wound up painting him angry looking though...
