Measurment Tailoring Guide by Simplicity.com

This is the Tailor Fit guide for measurements I will need from you when creating any and all clothes. If you want a tight fit, I need these measurements. This goes especially for my next clothing Ideas for 2016, where I'm considering the creation of full body costumes. But I'm posting this now because some of you have already asked for a tight fit rather than the standard roomy one from my patterns. It's not hard to tailor things. But it is hard for me to measure you,who may or may not be in another state, country, or even another continent all together.

You can easily take your measurments using string, yarn or ribbon and measuring that with a conventional ruler. The easiest way would be with a measuring tape.

This measurements are to be done in inches or in centimeters. Preferably in inches. This guide presents a female diagram, but I suggest that men use it aswell. Seeing as measuring a man follows more or less the same principles when he too wants a tight fit.

Also, be honest about your size. I want things to fit comfortably and not be to small or too tight. I usually add an extra inch just in case seeing as everyone fluctuates 1-3 pounds all though oit the year, that is we gain and lose those pounds naturally with the change of season. This is also convenient for those times your wearing something underneath it all. .
